the view from my room... its raining and san jose is changing from desert to jungle!
the bottle (preferably a glass beer bottle) is placed on its top in the middle of the patio, this supposedly stops the rain...... suprisingly the rain did stop, but i guess it always does at some point right?
I'll have to try that bottle trick in Portland. Your view is much like I imagined! I feel like I've sat in your room with you and looked at that view. The desert/jungle sounds like India.
your yard is so big! i am jealous of your green space. it is cold & grey here in nyc. we need some tropical vegetation! don't drink toooo many beers trying to stop the rain now anna. JUST KIDDING. love you girlie.
Thanks for keeping this great blog going and giving all of us a little slice of your experience. Dia de los Muertos looks fascinating - have you a brolly for the rain? Slicker? Poncho? Love you like crazy cakes...
i luckily do have a a great poncho raincoat, that i got when I thought I was going to the pacific islands- what a different life that would have been!
I defiantely think that the bottle trick may work in other parts of the world... in my point of view, as long as it stops raining- it works! try it out! hahahaha.. i love you all.

I enjoyed seeing your nice view! Does the bottle trick only work in Bolivia?
